QVapes Coiler

  1. Hi Todd. Looks a really cool device for some like me that is just about to start making coils for my newly aquired RDA. I notice that all the resellers are in the USA though. Any ideas if they will sell in the UK, or any other products that do the same here? Cheers

  2. Todd, It seems like a nice help device and I have seen similar before. I have a recommendation for you to perhaps pass on. The large NUT which has the small rod that you actually wrap your coil should be longer...what I mean is that the top of the nut should be on the same "plane" as the fastening screw is on...so when you are wrapping your coil it is tight against the nut, so in affect you are tightening the coil as you wrap.... Dahhhh, I hope I explained that correctly? ... LOL ...Thanks!....May the Vape be with you!

  3. Can't wait to see the new model. I hope they build it the way Intrepido Major said they should.

  4. There looks to be plenty of threading on the large nuts at the base of the needles, maybe a chunky o-ring or similar spacer around the base of the nut would do the job?

I'm slightly disappointed that they haven't integrated the 'needles' into the unit itself though, as an owner of a wooden coil buddy the one thing that really annoys me is hunting around to find different drill bits... in fact it might be time to take a drill to it. :)

  5. Great Vid Todd, I love those things, another great tip, and something you may pass on. Some folks really don't like it when the wire twists as you turn it, and quite honestly it sill sometimes cause the coil to go a little sideways once its off the jig. If you turn the jig itself and hold the wire in place....it actually keeps the wire from twisting. Nice little tip for those who are interested. Keep vaping folks.

  6. Another great review Todd. Quick query - do you think you could feed some hollow ekowool over the needle and wind a coil directly around it? I don't see why not, although you would lose some of the benefits of being able to push the coil down to tighten it I would imagine...

  7. Think it would be great for ekowool, good call :)
