Watch "The HERO APV from" on YouTube

Excuse the edits and confusion on materials, it is a stainless steel top section and the tubes are chrome plated brass.

Thanks too for supplying the for review.

  1. Would be great for the missies but stick an 18650 tube on it and would bet fantastic for ME

  2. you could pass a piece of kanthal thru the chamber hole then pass through the loops of wick then pass back thru chamber wet and pull

    1. Great one, will share that :)

    2. I was thinking the same thing. Just use a loop of stiff wire from under the hole and use it to pull the wicks down. A straitened paper clip bent in half would work as a puller. They use something in fishing and sewing for threading hooks and needles just on a smaller scale. One at a time or all at once if the wicks fit. I'm in the U.S. and am very eager to get my Hero hybrid APV from the U.K..

      Thanks Todd

    3. Yes a paper clip straightened and bend into a long thin U shape would work as well. they use something like that for threading fishing hooks and needles but on a smaller scale. If you cant pull all the wicks at once one at a time should work

You can roll the end of the wicks together in a bit of SS mesh and fit them through the whole. Worked very well for me.

I'm having trouble with this device with the wicking though, getting one dry hit after another. I used eight strands 1mm wick (as in your tutorial). Any tips?

Anyhow, thanks for all your work Todd, I really enjoy your reviews :)
