The Natural Mod

In my opinion, with a couple of tweaks this can be a really good mechanical mod.

  3. Could you please tell me the exact parts that I need in order for me to modify the natural to have brass conatcts and a brass center pin?

  4. Very nice, I nearly bought this from ecigwizard, but got the SMOK Telescope instead, its a cracker, you should review it some time Mr Todd..... (sorry couldn't refrain from asking again...) Its a similar finish to this mod in stainless steel...

Ecig wizard is my favorite place to buy from because they really have the best (IMHO) cust services for as long as I can remember, 100% top notch service and after sales service!! I asked e-cig wizard if they had any pictures of the stainless steel telescope as at the time there wasn't any displayed on their website, within hours they had replied to me to say they would get their photographer to take some pictures and they would be on the website later, as promised they did appear on the website as promised! 5 stars to ecigwizard from me :D

  5. Have to thank you for this video. I am also a "tinkerer" and could not see myself sticking with the original switch spring. Swapped it out with a loose one I found in the garage and feels effortless now... thanks again sir!

  6. Rubbed and banged the witch drum. Vdrop for 1ohm or lower resistance setups 0.25v with my Natural :)
This is in Finnish but http://youtu.be/7loHImAMlFk I show what I have done to mine and then there's the voltage measuring.
Without modding I think I was getting something like a ~0.8-1.0v drop.. Actually one time when I measured the drop I got 0.8v of drop and that was after like 2 weeks of no cleaning. I took 2k grit sandpaper and went through every nook and cranny I thought could be where the electricity goes through. I got 0.36v drop. Was scrathing my head but left it alone. Two days later I measured the drop to be 0.4-0.5v which blew my mind at that time, took it apart and in the end it looks like the minus post to be the problem. I took the minus post assembly apart, threw the washer to trash and sanded again the surfaces that contact each other (minus pole&post) and then tightened it AS TIGHT AS I COULD HNNNGGGHH.
Badam, 0.25v drop. Looks like it hovers somewhere between 0.2-0.3v. Though now when I change battery I can't tilt it, otherwise the minus post assembly drops out LOL.
Hella nice for a ~50-60€ mod. Of course K100 is as good unmodded and I plan on buying it.

Btw Todd. I love your reviews. Keep it up!
Been a while but vapeguy808, if you read this you can see in the video what I've done to mine.

  7. Good thing you swapped out the button spring, the original is a hot spring. If it shorts or over heats the spring collapses and the mod continues to fire... NOT COOL.

  8. Hello Todd,

  9. Hi Todd, got one of these the other day, with a vision et, both because of your reviews. Have to say it works straight out of the box, but because I to, am a fiddler, its been played with, but not the 510 connection as have used a stainless 22mm shim. Its easier to get the switch out if you push the plastic washer and bottom pin out first. Top 510 center pin is actually chromed brass, so just sanded both ends and finished with solvol, bottom pin is chromed brass swell, so same treatment. Polished top and bottom caps swell as the longer tube. Not used my vamo since getting this. Somebody should tell the Chinese not to chrome brass. Thanks for all your reviews, but would be better of financially if I didn't .watch anymore. Cheers.

  10. You dont need a plears to unskrew the switch.. Just you spin it until its locked, then keep unskrewing with litle extra push.

    1. For your one maybe but for mine I needed pliers.

If I could have done it by hand I would have done ;)

  11. The spring in a writing pen works as well, the top pin in a Parker pin is almost same size and the right amouut of spring pressure.

  12. I'm not sure if my question got posted, so sorry if I'm repeating myself here, but I was wondering if you measured the voltage drop on the Natural. I currently have the telescoping version but thinking about moving up to the magnetic Natural (magnetic switch).

    2. One more question: have you had a chance to look at magnetic button version of this mod? I currently have the telescopic version and have been eyeing the magnetic version for a while and was just wondering as I can't seem to find any good reviews for it.
