Follow Up - The KILLER

Just a quick update on how life has been with the Killer

  1. I found an ultra tight drip tip impedes the feeding of juice as well, for the atty to feed right it cannot be in a complete vacuum...it has to breath a little to perform at it's best. I discovered this when I shoved in a 3 o-ring Trippy Tip, was very tight and it fed poorly. Went back to a single o-ring Hot Vapes tip I had and with every hit there would be a bubble from the feed hole and all was well. You might try some different fitting drip tips and see what happens.

  3. I sort of cringed watching the video. It's not at all necessary to mod the tank to get juice flowing. The two main tanks I use for mine are extremely tight, and I have no dry hit issues by following this simple procedure after filling.

You need to essentially get the air pressure settled. To do this, when you get the first dry-ish hit, take the tank off your mod, block all the air flow at the bottom of the Killer (the end of the 510 connector, and the air hole on the side of the connector) and do a long hard draw on the mouthpiece until you see a couple of bubbles go into the tank from the juice flow holes.

Most times this will sort everything out, and you'll have good flow for the rest of the tank. Occasionally, you may get another dry-ish hit, but at this point you can just do a couple of normal dry pulls, like you might occasionally do with a carto, and things will flow again.

I've done this method with multiple tanks for a few weeks now, and it has never failed. It's all about getting that initial vacuum going.

    Hope this helps.
    Keep up the excellent reviews.

    1. Mod the tank! I wouldn't call reducing the size of an O ring modding ;)

Thanks for posting though, it's a good method and should help others.

      All the best

  4. I have tried a few different carto tanks with my Killer, and without a doubt the best performing is the IBTanked XL (yes XL). Mine is the 19mm Stainless XL, no extender for Killer is needed, works as stock (the juice control needs to be kept 3/4 open). What a vape!! The tank makes a difference, and the XL is a perfect fit.
