SIN BIN - Vapourhut.com

I have used countless vendors since I started vaping and even those that there have been issues with, well they have all been a pleasure to deal with as their customer service have dealt with any issues remarkably well.

vapourhut.com on the other hand are in my opinion full of empty promises, continue to sell products even after being advised by their customers that there are issues and as far as I am concerned, should be avoided!

As always this is just my opinion based on my experiences, read the forums and look for feedback and make up your own mind.

All the best

Todd

UPDATE:  Apparently a new one was sent out round about the 2nd of Feb, looks like it has gone missing in the post!

Just in case it's not clear in the video, I did say that I would accept a replacement so that I could show others that were having issues how to fix this.

UPDATE 2: Replacement has now arrived, obviously been in the post for ten days or maybe just funny that it arrived 2 days after this video was posted!

I am locking this post down now, if you have anything you wish to discuss with me then email me, everything was clear in the video but I will leave this video up, people have a right to know about bad experiences with vendors as well as the countless positive ones I frequently post about.

  1. Well done for having the balls to do it. Vendors need to know WE are the customer. I haven't had a problem with this vendor but haven't needed to contact them yet. Actually I have but didnt( that very appalling re-buildable where the wick supposedly met another one but was very hard to get them to meet-dont remember the name )
    Anyway well done.

    2. Andy I turned my Dominator into a Toddoid, I just pulled the round disc with the 2 holes for the wicks to pass through off, filled it with sera or wonderfoam wrapped round the post, built the bottom wick/coil so it touches the sera filler and thats it really quick fix

  2. You've done right, Todd. I had a similar experience recently with another vendor from which I bought 2 "stainless" drip tips. Turns out they were chrome plated copper. I informed the vendor before giving it a bum review, in case they were not aware they were not stainless steel and he said he would inform their techs about it. Time went by with no answer. I proceeded to review said drip tips and inform others of their actual composition, giving them a rating of 3 out of 5 stars. They published the review, but they said I gave it 5 stars! needless to say, they won't have my business anymore.

  3. I'm not one for public lashings as such. You do however have some fair points. I guess it would be good if they can take this, and other info to better a process, only time will tell.
I do wonder how long it will be before you are asked to remove the blog and video.
For me, I have a VH Genesis. It's totally shit. The threads on the top are totally awful and have worn down so it pulls off rather than unscrews; some may say this is a positive thing because I can now line up the air hole. The seals leak at the bottom. It's put me off rebuildable atomisers, but I am very pleased with the simple Igo.

  4. Well said Todd as you know I've had some lengthy dealings with VH, they are quick to get a NEW order out to you but when it comes to a bit of customer support when you have problems, absolutely terrible, can't see me going back tbh

  5. I've been lied to and ignored by this vendor. His products aren't the problem but his attitude to customers is. First he'd heard of the Verti leaking? Said the same to me. In the vaping world it's so important to support customers and I don't think he gets it, he's acting like a private seller on eBay. I think you did the right thing with this video, good on you, I could see it wasn't easy for you.

  6. I had that VH Dripper off you, it was part of a competition you did and I won :)

However, it's in the bin now after little use, I got fed up with it falling apart.

Vapour Hut are mad to treat someone like you that bad who can spread the word to so many in such a short time. Some sellers whether they sell cars, tech stuff, vaping items etc seem to forget the power of the internet can be their downfall as well as their success if they do things right.

Everyone keep your eyes open for VH products coming to a pound shop near you :D

  7. Well said Todd and sorry for being a bit blonde!

  8. Always be honest and never feel you have to hold back. If they have done wrong and choose to ignore it then you have the right to let us all know.

  9. Just a heads up Todd mate, you may be leaving yourself open to legal action posting this video mate.

  10. i for one watch your videos because of your honesty in my opinion it it your duty to us to inform your viewers about stuff like this no matter how bad it is, do you want the same thing to happen to your friends , of coarse not maybe when his web site slows to a crawl and he starts to hear crickets in the background maybe then he will wish he took care of his customers instead of lusting his euros

  11. Glad I saw this Todd, I was about to order a couple of Rebuildables from this place!! This is why I like watching your vids. Your a very honest & genuine bloke. :-)

  14. Thanks for the heads up Todd. With so many vendors out there it's good to get the lowdown from people with experience. As a noob (10 weeks in) it's good to know who to trust... And who not to!

  15. Damn right you should be doing this, you review equipment and vendors for us, and if you don't speak out when there are problems with either, you aren't doing it right.

If a vendor is providing a substandard product or service, you have an obligation to your public to pass this on. I just hope that VH deal with this is the right way and improve their customer support, and follow up with what they promise. If they can't take a bad review and deal with it properly (by fixing their shortcomings), they don't deserve our support or our custom.

    Keep up the good work.

  16. I think this is well deserved. I've dealt with a vendor similar to this in Canada, and vapers should be warned about this sort of vendor. There are far too many fantastic vendors out there to allow bad ones to continue their bad business practises.

  17. I was looking at VH line clone but will steer clear now. Thanks for the video and like others have said you have done the right thing. The only thing you've done is accelerate the news getting out, what with the web and forums now this sort of thing gets out in time anyway. Doesn't VH realize there is a close knit vaping community and we talk to each other! There are plenty of vendors for us to choose from so all of them should be striving to give the best products and support they can and most I've used do so one with this sort of attitude isn't going to last long!

  18. After reading what has been said on the AAEC forum, I can only totally agree with you Todd, there seem's no backing down from the Vapourhut owner over this matter, surely it was in his best interest to settle this matter amicably with yourself, this doesn't seem to be the case in this matter. And as for one of the forums so called moderators, it seem's to me he's forgotten about a group buy that once happened on AAEC where the same vender (Vapourhut) let down him and number of other people, and yet again Vapourhut's lack of correspondent in this matter. So well done Todd in speaking you mind on this matter.

  19. This is absolutely worth your time. Anything that holds vendors to the standards they should be meeting is a good thing. I've had two problematic purchases with two different vendors, a Kanger T3 that arrived cracked from Liberty Flights and a dead Ego battery from IVapour-Elixer. Both responded promptly and offered a refund or another device without me even asking. Needless to say I will use both vendors again in future and they come recommended from me; a little kindness goes a long way.

  20. All vendors stock stuff that might develop issues - good vendors actually test their stock before selling it. Sounds like some of the VH stuff has design flaws which should be taken off the website. Supporting stuff is expected, continuing to flog tat is the issue.

As regards the moderator, he seems to fan the flames rather than moderate

  21. I've used this vendor a few times before and their customer service has been great and quite helpful
From what I've read, it looks like you were given a solution within a few days and if the replacement was sent out on the 2nd which is a Saturday so its only just gone of 5 working days, Did you try getting in touch with the vendor after they said you was getting a replacement?

    1. Vendor never told me when it was being posted, I was waiting for an update, yet again!

Got fed up and posted video.

I'm glad you have had a satisfactory service, I'm sure plenty have but I am commenting on my own experiences here.

    2. How did you know it had been sent around the 2nd? if the vendor had offered a refund or replacement like they said then wouldn't it have been best chasing it up first as maybe they would have sorted you a refund out instead, at least it would have got your money back if anything? seems a little extreme to throw up a video after 2 weeks where it seems like a week of it was waiting on the post?

    3. Have you watched the video?

I agreed to accept a replacement rather than a refund, that way I could show others how to fix the leak if they felt they wanted to try, this was on the 2nd and was told another would be sent out, the vendor has also confirmed it was sent out at this time in later discussions on the forums.

Once again, this is the 2nd time I have had a similar issue with the vendor, last time I never got the replacement at all.

It may seem extreme to some but to me, I felt it was the right thing to do.

You are well within your rights to disagree, I have no problem with that but at the end of the day it was my decision and I stand by it.
